Hello, everyone! If you follow my social media (Facebook / Instagram), then you already know by now that I am participating in the Flea Style Spring Show, which I am thrilled about. If you have not heard about Flea Style, it is this awesome, Dallas-based company that brings together vendors selling one-of-a-kind, unique items into one marketplace. Not only that, Flea Style hosts workshops and conferences to help creative entrepreneurs like myself!
First, I am excited because this will be my first “big” event. So far I have done a few trunk shows with local boutique owners (shout out to Pumps in Downtown Mckinney and Soho in Paris, Texas!), and I also got together with some small businesses in the Phoenix area to host a Holiday Boutique Event. These types of events are fun because you get to connect with other small business owners, as well as get to know the people in the community, which I love.
Another reason I am so excited about this event is because it will be held at Fair Park. Fair Park is an iconic place for me since I grew up in the Dallas area. It´s where the State Fair of Texas is held (which I never missed up until I was in college) and it´s where the UT Longhorns and OU Sooners go head-to-head each year for the famous Cotton Bowl. I have so many memories from Fair Park, so it´s pretty surreal thinking that I will have a booth set up at the emblematic Automobile building (for those of you that grew up going to the State Fair of Texas, didn´t you just love going to the Car Show at this building and dreaming about the day you would drive?).
I feel like Flea Style is my Super Bowl, and I have been mentally preparing for it ever since I sent in my vendor application in early January. It will be my first time to set up an actual booth and have an entire 10 x 10 space to fill with displays, bags and decoration. We´ll see how that goes :)
If you are interested in attending the Dallas show, you can get tickets here and also, Flea Style answers a lot of questions you might have here.
Hope to see ya´ll there!
