¡Hola! How was everyone´s Cinco de Mayo? Did anyone have too many margaritas?
I had originally planned to post these photos, which were taken by my amazing photographer, Edgar Luna, on Friday to give a little history lesson on the Mexican holiday that people from the U.S. celebrate, but I just ran out of time since I had to take new product photos, update the website and get everything ready for the Cinco de Mayo Sale.
Speaking of, the sale was a success, and I sincerely want to thank everyone who bought a bag, went to the website, or shared the sale on social media. It really does mean the world! As someone who is just starting to build my brand and doing so by myself, it´s sometimes easy to get burnt out or hit a wall, but your support reminds me of why I am doing this and why I love it, so thank you!
I also want to let everyone know, especially those who bought a bag this weekend, that a portion of the proceeds will go to the disaster relief efforts for Canton, Texas. Having grown up in North Texas and still to this day, tornadoes—more than any other natural disaster—terrify me. I can´t imagine the devastation and helplessness that you feel when your home, community and livelihood are wiped away in a matter of seconds, so I wanted to find a way to help my fellow Texans.
Again, thank you to everyone for your endless support! I am making note of my best customers and social media advocates and will definitely have some surprises in store for you later this year :)
P.S. Stay tuned for a Mother´s Day giveaway on my Facebook page tomorrow!
